Some lawmakers want to bring it back and the teacher I talked to said that's not a bad idea two years ago classrooms did away with person the students a lot of them liked it better because then they could just print everything now the state Senate wants to bring it back and teachers at leo elementary say that could be a good move. I feel that they need cursive for two reasons for their signature and then also just to be able to read cursive around Christmas Kaylor was writing thank you notes to her students for present and noticed a common thread I write them all in cursive and several students came up and asked me to read them to them because they couldn't read it and because they can't a lot of them can't read cursive one of the reasons they drop cursive was because lawmakers wanted a greater emphasis put on typing, but now even that's going away traditional typing using home row because on the iPads.

Since we don't have the keyboards for the students there, a lot of them are doing you know the hunt and peck for typing but students are becoming more skilled using technology I had a fourth grader write a sentence for me using cursive and again on the iPad she could type her sentence and nearly half the time on the curse of I had a look up on the board because I don't know how to do um the capitalized letters and on the iPad.

I don't even have to look up because the letters are there even the fourth grader addy was just learning cursive when the State Department of Education dropped it from the curriculum she says it's a skill she's glad she has and bringing it back to the classroom means that the skill she'd be able to share with her younger sibling I want to see my little brother um just try to practice doing Christmas the Senate approved a bill like this last year but it never made it to the house you also have a pool going on on wane.com so far seventy-four percent of people say cursive should be mandatory mark and heather Erin thank you
